EXPECTED CUTOFF UKPSC UPPER SUBORDINATE EXAM (PCS PRE)

EXPECTED CUTOFF UKPSC UPPER SUBORDINATE  EXAM (PCS PRE)

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission UKPSC Upper Subordinate exam (PCS PRE) was successfully held on 29 January 2017 at various examination centres.

Just like the third exam of year 2016-17 conducted by UKPSC viz. RO/ARO PRE Exam 2016, UKPSC Lower Subordinate Pre exam 2016, UKPSC upper subordinate exam (pcs pre) conducted on 29 January 2017 was neither tough nor easy. This time UKPSC cautiously prepared questions and published answer keys within a week. Only one question was wrong in CSAT i,e 90*6+8.2, which will give bonus marks to each candidate. The chances of controversy are almost nil this time.

In General Studies (Paper-I), maximum questions were easy to moderate, some questions were completely factual (date/year type Rattu questions), some questions meant to be left without exact answers. Two questions were bonus as the questions itself provided the answers! Viz. Question on BRICS (Jim O’Neill) and question on Doab and Rivers (match the list)!!!Uttarakhand GK questions were easier than UKPSC RO pre exam 2016, so it will provide good chance to the candidates of other states.

In CSAT (Paper-II), language of English passage was tough but the questions based on the passage were easy. Even then English part was not easy for hindi background students. But the Hindi passage was very easy and so does the questions based on it. Questions based on maths were easy for the maths background students but the paper was lengthy so attempting each and every question of maths would have taken its price. Six questions on Assertion and reason beautifully tested the logical reasoning of candidates. Overall, maths background students will have upper edge in CSAT paper.

So, overall the paper was good for serious candidates.

The candidates of other states also appeared in this exam but unconfirmed information predicts that their number has reduced to a great extent as compared to the previous PCS exam conducted by UKPSC. After negative marking the expected cut off for general boys may be

GS – 90-92 questions (MARKS- 90-92)

CSAT- 60-62 questions (MARKS 90-93)

Total cut off marks- 180-185.

Category wise cut off marks is as follows:-

Category The expected cut-off Marks UKPSC PCS PRE Exam
General (boys) 180-185
General (girl) 155-160
OBC 170-180

So, those who have scored more than 185 marks should start preparations for UKPSC PCS Mains.

Best of Luck Guys!

EXPECTED CUT-OFF UTTARAKHAND RO/ARO EXAM (PRE)- 2016

EXPECTED CUT-OFF UTTARAKHAND RO/ARO EXAM (PRE)- 2016

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) RO/ARO PRE Exam 2016 for 181 vacancies was successfully held on 26th June 2016 at various examination centres.

This time UKPSC RO/ARO PRE Exam 2016 paper was neither tough nor easy. One may call it moderate paper containing some dodging questions. Barring two /three question, Maths and reasoning section was easy. In General Studies part some questions seemed to be quite easy in first look but they were tricky and most of the candidates might have opted with the wrong choices if they were not dealt with proper attention. Some Uttarakhand GK questions were repeated while others were unfamiliar ones. Science questions were also not too easy to crack. So overall the paper was good for serious candidates.

The candidates of other states were not eligible for this exam so the competition is among bright and hardworking candidates of Uttarakhand only. The expected cut-off for RO/ARO PRE Exam 2016 would be around 95-100 (General). Although the General Studies was easy but with negative marking in any paper, it’s never easy to score 110/150 for every Tom Dick and Harry.

Category The expected cut-off Marks
General 95-100
OBC 85-90
SC 70-75
ST 65-70

So, those who have scored more than 95 marks should start preparations for RO/ARO mains and those who are near 90 marks have to wait for the official answer key and then fill up the objection formats in support of their claims in the disputed questions and answers (if any)

UKPSC will take about 15 times of the total seats (181) for RO/ARO exam so I hope you would find your names in the list of approximately 2700 aspirants clearing the first hurdle. Best of Luck Guys!

EXPECTED CUT OFF UTTARAKHAND SI EXAM

EXPECTED CUT OFF UTTARAKHAND SI EXAM

The Uttarakhand SI examination for the recruitment of 354 posts of Sub Inspectors in Civil Police, LIU and PAC was held on April 5 2015 on eight centres across the State. The official cut off mark and answer key of UK SI Exam 2015 will be available on uttarakhandpolice.uk.gov.in very soon.

Now the students may be anxiously waiting for the expected cut off marks of Uttarakhand SI Exam held on April 5, 2015.

Considering the clash of two important papers viz. UK SI exam 2015 conducted by Uttarakhand Police department and LT (Pravakta) Exam conducted by UKPSC on April 5, 2015, it is expected that the competition on both the exams would be slightly lower as there are thousands of common candidates who would have appeared in both the exams if this clash of dates had not been there. But it’s also worth noting that the competition among rest of the candidates will be much stiffer as only dedicated candidates would be fighting in both Uttarakhand SI Exam and LT (Pravakta) Exam.

The expected cut-off for General Category (male) – 210/300

The expected cut-off for General Category (female) – 170/300

The expected Section wise marks are as under:-

Hindi General awareness Maths              and Reasoning
75-80/100 55-60/75             75-80/125

Hindi and General awareness sections were good in comparison to the previous Uttarakhand SI exam of 2007 while the Maths and Reasoning sections comprising of 125 questions in total were reasonably tough this time and will play deciding role in overall merit. This paper needed good command over maths and reasoning section, so the Maths background students have definitely upper hand over the Arts Background students.

Those who have scored 5marks (+/-) near the above mentioned expected cut-off should start preparation for 9 month training in Uttarakhand Police!!!
